Is the universe of a given creature generated by their own awareness? or something beyond themselves?

Imagine yourself in space, far enough above the plane of the ecliptic that you can see the Earth majestically turning beneath your feet.

Now, where you are in space, is it day or night?

Infinity

Imagine that your entire world, everything that is, can be mapped onto the surface of a ball, and you are standing on that ball. You can explore the surface of the ball in any direction, but the further you travel, the smaller you become in relation to the size of the ball.

Is it possible to explore the entire surface of the ball?
